The Wells got their first win of the 16/17
Season in this first qualifying round of the FA Vase.
Ollie Bankole opened the scoring on 18mins when debutant Josh Biddlecombe delivered a into the box and Bankole fired home from close range.
Biddlecombe doubled the Wells lead with a well placed finish on 42mins.

The FA Vase (Sponsored by Buildbase ) returns to the Culverden this Saturday for the first time since The Wells were knocked out on penalties by eventual semi finalist Highworth Town in the 14/15 season.
The Wells will look to put the disappointment of last season behind them where they limped out of the competition at the first hurdle losing 3-0 away to Knaphill.
Steyning Town from the Southern Combination First division are the first test

Beckenham Town 0-0 The Wells

The Wells came away from Eden Park Avenue with a well deserved point but will be scratching their heads as to why it wasn't all 3pts given their dominance.
The Wells were awarded a penalty inside the opening 10mins when the ever dangerous looking Ryan Crandley was felled inside the Beckenham area.
Jason Barton's tame penalty was comfortably saved by Anidaba in the Becks goal.
The Wells style of play was better suited to the lush Eden Park playing surface but despite having more possession the Wells could not break the deadlock.

Despite an early onslaught The Wells more than matched their A21 rivals but were undone when Byron Walker slotted home on 39mins.

The A26 bragging rights went to Crowborough in a closely fought Derby at the Culverden.
The Crows went 1-0 up after 8 mins when Zak Attwood found the net.
It looked as though The Wells had earned a draw when Tom Bryant fired home from close range with 7 mins remaining. However it was The Crows who flew off with all 3pts when Attwood netted his and his sides second with a well worked winner.
Next up The Wells turn their attentions to the A21 derby on Bank Holiday Monday when they travel to Greatness park to take on Sevenoaks Town.
