2015/16 was a roller coaster ride for Wells fans . However Easter aside the season run in has given hope to the South Stand faithful with manager Jason Bourne and assistant Mark Stapley assembling a squad with a good blend of youth and experience and the future looks to be promising down at The Culverden.
The Wells finish the season in 14th place in the SCEFL table.
The season saw us finally beat a side that finished within the top 2 ( A feat that hadn't been achieved for a number of years )
We were also treated to some fantastic team and individual performances.
The gutsy 1-1 away draw against eventual league winners Greenwich Borough when The Wells finished the game with 9 men.
Who could forget the superb 2-1 win at the Culverden against Ashford United?.
Tom Bryants bullet header gave The Wells the lead only for the Nuts & Bolts to equalise before Jason Barton sealed a memorable win when he converted his penalty.
Ollie Cooke's last minute winner against Holmesdale after the Wells threw away a 3-1 lead to win 4-3 showed the famous never say die attitude the fans crave.
There was also the return fixture at Oakley road when Bourney's Boys went goal crazy and thumped the Dalers 7-2. Joe Nwoko and Chris Seenan both bagging hat tricks.
And more recently of course The Wells had their say on who would eventually become league champions when they put paid to Hollands & Blairs title hopes with a thrilling 2-0 home win.
Thank you for your support and see you next season.
