The Wells paid a heavy price for a slow start against AFC Croydon Athletic. The visitors took the lead after 12mins when Murray-Price found the net.
The Rams doubled their lead 10mins later when Morgan Jenden netted.
Richard Atkins pulled one back for The Wells a minute later to give the south stand faithful a glimmer of hope that a fight back could be on the cards, that glimmer was extinguished though when Mfula buried his shot on 36mins.
Wells are back to league action next Saturday when we our welcome our friends from up the A26 Crowborough Athletic to the Culverden.
