Croydon 2-2 The Wells

The Wells threw away a two goal lead to send this FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round to a replay.

An excellent save from Cam Hall in The Wells goal proved to be the springboard for Steph Harper’s 22mins opener. Having acrobatically saved, The Wells stopper provided the assist as he went Route one to Harper who fired The Wells into the lead.

Substitute Joffy Shea doubled The Wells lead with a brilliant 20yrd lobbed effort.

Josh Biddlecombe went close to adding a third for The Wells but his effort crashed against the crossbar.

The Wells looked to be cruising into the next round only for Tre Daly to finish a well worked Croydon goal and give the home side the belief that the tie was far from over.

Daly snatched an equaliser and a replay on Tuesday evening at The Culverden for his side with 3mins remaining from a free kick on the edge of The Wells area.
