The first home game for a rejuvenated Wells side ended in a 2-1 victory that left the Culverden bouncing!
The visitors edged a tight first half and Tommy Taylor was in inspired form in The Wells goal and made a fabulous save to keep the teams level until 19mins.
A soft free kick was awarded to the Fish and Chris Lockwood resulting free kick squirmed under The Wells stopper.
The Wells came to life in the second half and drew level through a Jason Thompson free kick 2mins into the restart.
Jason Thompson provided the assist for The Wells 2nd goal when he calmly played in James Huggins to place home.
The Fish were awarded a penalty late on 81mins to which Tommy Taylor saved superbly.
Ryan Cheek saw red late on for a second bookable offence but that couldn’t dampen the spirits of the Wells support.
