WELLING TOWN 1-2 THE WELLS

The Wells continued their faultless start to the season and climbed to the top of the SCEFL premier league with a solid display at league newcomers Welling Town.

A goalless first half saw Josh Biddlecombe go closest for The Wells but his shot went wide.

Euan Sahadow gave The Wells the lead on 55mins when his cross evaded everyone including the Welling Town keeper and nestled into the side netting.

Freeman Rogers went close to doubling The Wells lead but his header drifted just wide of the post.

Super sub Josh Froggatt doubled The Wells lead when his slotted home after a solo run.

Welling reduced the deficit when they caught The Wells defence napping and Adam O’Neill broke through to make it 1-2 on 70mins.

The Wells stood firm and defended resolutely to bag their third win and send themselves to the top of the table.
