The Wells were left to rue missed opportunities early in the first half as they fell to their second successive defeat away at Lordswood.
The Wells created early chances but Danny Powell was unable to convert from 2 yards out. Powell and Jason Thompson both missed headers to put The Wells in front.
Jai McKinley’s looping header gave The Lords the lead on 21mins.
A lacklustre second half display saw The Wells unable to create any real chances and Lordswood deservedly added a second goal on 72mins when Alex Brefo rifled home a good move off the crossbar.
The defeat sees The Wells fail to
score for the first time in a league game this season and drop a place to sixth on 28pts from 15 games.
Next up The Wells host Canterbury City at The Culverden on Saturday in the SCEFL premier division.
Kick Off 3pm.
