THE WELLS 4-1 CROWBOROUGH ATHLETIC

The Wells returned to winning ways and signed off from 2019 with a ruthless display against a relegation bound Crowborough Athletic.

Jordan Wells gave The Wells a 1-0 half time lead when he fired home the rebound from
Jason Thompson’s free kick which had cannoned off the Crows bar.

The Crows pulled level 5mins into the second half when Sam Carrington’s lofted through ball found Jack Funnell who finished deftly.

The Crows were reduced to ten men when Luke Leppard received a second yellow card for another crude challenge on Jordan Wells on 68mins.

Clark Woodcock restored The Wells lead when he took advantage of a Rory Salter mistake in defence and rifled into the Crows net on 72mins.

Jason Thompson added a third for The Wells when he shot across goal on 76mins.

Thompson capped off a fantastic display from The Wells with a blistering free kick in injury time.

The Wells remain in 6th on 31pts and move to within a point of Hollands & Blair in 5th with two games in hand.
