After suffering 4 consecutive postponements, The Wells travel to Gillingham on Saturday looking to end their 21 day football drought when they face Hollands & Blair in the SCEFL premier division.
Having finished the previous 2 seasons in the bottom 3, The Blair have seen a revival in form this season which has taken them to currently sit 5th on 42pts after 25 games. Their playing record consists of 11 wins, 9 draws and 5 defeats.
After a succession of postponements, The Wells have not played a competitive fixture since their 2-5 away win at AFC Croydon on 1st February. Despite their lack of games, Richard Styles’s team still sit 6th on 40pts after 20 games and with a playing record of 13 wins, 1 draw and 6 defeats.
Last seasons meeting at The Star Meadow Sports Club saw The Wells claim a 0-2 win. 2 Goals in 3 minutes from Chad Bryce-Borthwick and Perry Spackman sealing the 3pts that day.
