The Wells dropped to their first defeat of pre season to a well organised Faverham Town.
The Lilywites who have made the Ryman South playoff semi finals for the previous two seasons took the lead just before half time and doubled their lead just after the break.
The returning Ryan Crandley pulled one back for The Wells who more than matched their Ryman South opponents but could not find an equaliser.
The Wells return to their pre season schedule next Saturday when they entertain Eastbourne Town at The Culverden.

The Wells continued their fine pre season form with a superb goalless draw and defensive display against Conference South opponents Eastbourne Borough.
The Wells who have conceded just one goal in their last 7 games were limited to few attacking chances and were on the back foot for large parts of the game. But Jason Bourne's men held firm and deservedly held on for the draw.
Next up The Wells welcome Ryman South Play Off semi finalists Faversham Town to The Culverden on Saturday.

The Wells continued their Pre Season with a hard fought win against former Wells defender Nick Davis's Sittingbourne.
The Wells took the lead thanks to a Jason Barton penalty.
Sittingbourne who named former Wells favourites Dane Moore and Joe Fuller in their ranks equalised through a penalty of their own when Tom Bryant was harshly adjudged to have played his man before the ball in a last gasp challenge.
The Wells settled the tie through a well worked corner when Jason Barton headed home and make it 2 wins in 2 for Jason Bourne.

Please be aware that today's pre season fixture Vs Sittingbourne will now be played at the Culverden and NOT Hayesbrook School as previously advertised.

The Wells will welcome Steyning Town to The Culverden in the first qualifying round of this years FA Vase competition. Steyning Town is an FA chartered community club, affiliated to the Sussex County Football Association. The Tie will be played on September 10th. Kick Off 3pm.

The Wells have been drawn at home to Eastbourne United in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round on 6th August.

A well taken header from debutant striker Richard Atkins on 40mins gave The Wells local bragging rights over neighbours Rusthall.
Atkins along with Keeper Ryan Chandler and Ollie Bankole impressed in this first game of pre season.

The Wells have signed attacking midfielder Ollie Bankole for 2016/17. Ollie, 25. Is a tenacious tough tackling player who's previous clubs include Sittingbourne, VCD Athletic, Tonbridge Angels and Hastings Utd.
