The Wells put last weeks defeat behind and got back to winning ways with an impressive 2-3 win at league leaders Beckenham Town.

Jack Harris put The Wells into an 12th min lead.

Leading scorer Richard Atkins levelled for the hosts on 24mins.

The game remained level for just 9mins until Josh Biddlecombe put The Wells into a 1-2 half time lead.

Jared Tresparderne made it 1-3 for The Wells on 62mins.

The Wells travel to Eden Park Avenue on Saturday to face high flying Beckenham Town.

Despite flirting with relegation last season, Beckenham have been the surprise team this season and went top of the league after Tuesday evenings 2-4 away win at Sheppey Utd.

Becks sit in pole position thanks to a record of 16 wins, 2 draws and 6 defeats. They have won 53pts and sit 3pts above 2nd placed Sevenoaks Town having played 2 games more.

A defensive mix up gifted the hosts their second when Justin Ascheri slotted into The Wells empty net on 33mins.

Despite hitting the woodwork twice The Wells went into half time 2-0 down.

The Wells travel to Gillingham on Saturday to face bottom placed club Hollands & Blair.

The Blair have endured a torrid time in their 3rd season in the SCEFL Premier having won just 5pts from 22 games. They have a record of just 1 win, 2 draws and 19 defeats.

The Wells are so far unbeaten in the league in 2018 after 4 games. Saturdays 3-2 derby win saw The Wells leapfrog neighbours Rusthall into 17th and go level on points with 16th placed Chatham Town with a game in hand.

The Wells won the battle of the borough thanks to a late winner from Greg Skinner.

Rusthall took the lead on 23mins through a Stephen Harper Penalty.

Joffy Shea equalised 10mins into the second half only for Rusthall to retake the lead through Stephen Smith on 67mins.

A Josh Biddlecombe penalty on 75mins gave The Wells their second equaliser of the afternoon.

The game looked to be heading for a draw until Greg Skinner stole the show and scored a 91st min winner.

It's derby day on Saturday as The Wells welcome neighbours Rusthall to The Culverden.

The Rustics won promotion to the SCEFL Premier last season after finishing as runners up to Glebe.

They occupy 18th in the league. One place below The Wells having amassed 21pts from 23 games. They have a record of 6 wins, 3 draws and 14 defeats.

The Wells edged a thrilling encounter against Deal Town at The Culverden.

Drew Crush opened the scoring for The Wells on 22mins.

Despite The Wells having the better of the first half exchanges it was Deal who went into half time with a 2-1 lead thanks to Andy Miller's 40mins equaliser and Conner Coyne netting on 44mins.

Jack Harris equalised for The Wells on 4mins into the 2nd half.

Ben Chapman restored the Hoops lead on 66mins to make it 2-3.

Jon Pilbeam equalised for The Wells a second time before Jack Harris scored the winner with 3mins remaining.

The Wells return their focus to league duties on Saturday when Deal Town visit The Culverden.

Derek Hares's side sit impressively in 5th having amassed 38pts from 21 games. Of those games The Hoops have had 12 wins, 2 draws and 7 defeats.

The Wells who remain in 18th have however moved within a point of 17th with 3 games in hand thanks to the 1-3 away win at Corinthian.

Last seasons meeting between The Wells and Deal at The Culverden was watched by 253. A Luke Hackett brace gave The Wells a 2-1 win.
