Following the weekend’s FA Cup defeat at Holmesdale, Tunbridge Wells can look forward to getting back to league action this week, beginning with a trip down the A21 to Sevenoaks Town on Wednesday night. Having appointed Micky Collins as manager in the summer, The Oaks have been rebuilding, and the likes of Andy Constable and former football league player Simon Osbourne, along with a host of other useful signings promise to give Martin Larkin's troop a real test.

Tunbridge Wells maintained the momentum at home to Lingfield, winning 2-0 and ensuring no goals have been conceded in 180 minutes of football. At the other end, Brendon Cass hit his fourth goal of the season within less than 30 seconds of kick-off – all of which leaves first team boss Martin Larkin a happy man…

As documented last night via the club’s Twitter and Facebook pages, Tunbridge Wells play Woodstock Sports in the First Round of the Kent Senior Trophy this year, a game to be played at Culverden on Saturday, October 18. However, a juicy incentive potentially awaits in the Second Round that could offer the extra spark to get Martin Larkin’s troops over the Woodstock hurdle…

Tunbridge Wells got the 2014/15 campaign off to a winning start at Cray Valley PM with a 3-0 win and a hat-trick from Brendon Cass in his competitive debut for The Wells. Cray Valley will undoubtedly prove themselves to be a solid outfit over the course of the season and the win pleased first team boss Martin Larkin.

Martin Larkin is a day away from sending his new-look side out to kick off season 2014/15 at Cray Valley PM. It’s been a busy summer on the pitch; a summer in which the side that took The Wells to Wembley in 2013 has been broken up – the core remains, but added experience and leadership has been brought in as part of a bid to help take this club to the next level.

With the new season upon us, and all possible preparation complete, the squad is all fit and excited to get started again! As always the Kent league is wide open with Greenwich Borough heavily investing, and a pick of probably another 4-5 others in the mix as serious title contenders. Getting a good start is going be key to ensuring a push for promotion.

Martin has, without doubt, put together a team of leaders and winners, and with a good blend of exciting youngsters, the back four has had a few adjustments that we will build a team upon.

Tunbridge Wells boss Martin Larkin reacted quickly to pull off a coup and secure the services of central defender Nick Davis. He was joint-manager at Sittingbourne last season and has hundreds of games under his belt playing Ryman and Conference level football before becoming available in July.

By way of welcoming him to Culverden, www.tunbridgewellsfc.com caught up with Nick to find out more about The Wells’ latest signing.

Nick Davis has joined Tunbridge Wells. Davis stepped down as joint manager of Ryman League side Sittingbourne earlier this month. An experienced central defender, he also lists Maidstone United, Tonbridge and Ramsgate among his former clubs.

Season 2014/15 kicks off with an away game at Cray Valley PM on August 9th, breaking a long run of years in which the campaign has kicked off at Culverden. Lingfield – newly transferred from the Sussex Countly League – will provide the opposition for The Wells’ first home game on Tuesday, August 12th.

Tunbridge Wells have announced the signing of two more additions for Season 2014/15. As Martin Larkin’s squad takes shape, George Benner (pictured) and Matt Parsons have put pen to paper.

George Benner joins from Herne Bay. Prior to joining Bay, however, he was with Erith & Belvedere and was a key figure is their Kent League and Cup double winning season two years ago.

Goal scoring last season wasn’t a problem for Tunbridge Wells. Goals conceded was an area that needed addressing, and Tunbridge Wells manager Martin Larkin has moved to freshen up his defence during pre-season.

Last week, a defensive addition was made in the form of Tom Bryant, who brings a wealth of experience playing further up the pyramid. As a happy coincidence, he also chips in with the odd goal. www.tunbridgewellsfc.com caught up with Tom to delve further into the winning mentality that Larkin’s been looking to recruit…

Following last night's friendly at Rusthall, first team boss Martin Larkin was delighted to secure the signings of defender Tom Bryant and forward Danny Powell (who marked the night scoring the first goal). In addition goalkeeper Stephen Lawrence has opted to stay at Culverden for the coming year.

Brendon Cass

With the first three summer signings revealed, it's an exciting prospect having Brendon Cass added to the core of a side that produced 90 league goals last season. Cass has been a goal-scoring hit at all of his previous clubs and has winners medals to show for his exploits, yet as www.tunbridgewellsfc.com found out in an interview with the player - he has the success of the team at heart for this coming season, ultimately...

TWFC: Firstly, welcome to Culverden! Tell us something that few people know about Brendon Cass…
