The Wells suffered their first defeat of the season to bogey side Corinthian.

Despite having the better of the early exchanges it was the visitors that opened the scoring when hat trick hero Michael Hurcomb netted his first on 9mins.

Steven Ita equalised for The Wells 8mins into the second half, Only for Hurcomb to net his second a minute later.

Hurcomb completed his hat trick with 6mins remaining.

The Wells look to bounce back on bank holiday Monday when they make the short trip to Jockey Farm to face Rusthall

The Hoops sit 5th in the league table having won both of their opening games.

A Josh Biddlecombe penalty and two sublime finishes from Jon Pilbeam and Biddlecombe again gave The Wells a somewhat comfortable victory over Hounslow Utd of the Combined Counties league.

The Wells return to FA Cup duty on Saturday where they take on Rusthall conquerors CB Hounslow Utd at The Culverden.

The Wells made it through the last preliminary qualifying round thanks to captain Brad Potter's header knocking out league rivals Beckenham Town.

CB Hounslow Utd are members of the Combined Counties league premier division.

The first league game of the 17/18 season resulted in points shared with Lordswood.

The Lords took the lead through a penalty when Jordon Wells converted on 34mins after a Chris Oladogba foul.

The Wells equalised through a superb strike from Rhys Bartlett on 64mins.

The Wells begin their 17/18 league campaign with a home fixture against Lordswood.

The Lords finished the 16/17 campaign in 16th. One position below The Wells, narrowly avoiding relegation and can thank The Wells for the 6pts they gained from the two games they played last season.

Last seasons meeting at The Culverden Saw Lordswood secure a 1-2 win in front of 216. Jon Pilbeam netting The Wells consolation goal.

The Wells booked their place into the next preliminary round of the FA Cup with a solid 1-0 win and performance against league rivals Beckenham Town.

Brad Potter scored the only goal of the game from a corner with a looping header over Becks stopper Rilwan Anibaba.

The win sets up a potential local derby against Rusthall who play Hounslow at the Culverden on Sunday.

Next up for The Wells is the beginning of league commitments with Lordswood visiting The Culverden next Saturday.

The Wells finished a disappointing season with a 4-1 thumping at Deal Town.

The Wells were down to ten men and 1-0 down inside 3mins when Perry Spackman got his marching orders afor a professional foul and the hoops netted the resulting spot kick. Deal added another 5mins later.

The Wells pulled a goal back through James Pinnock at the start of the second half. But any thoughts of a fight back were extinguished when Deal scored another 2 goals.
