The Wells 3-4 Chatham Town

A bumper crowd of 505 saw The Wells lose their 9 game unbeaten run against title chasing Chatham Town.

Jamie Humphris gave The Wells the lead from the penalty spot on 32mins after Harrison Carnegie was upended in The Chats area.

Matt Bodkin levelled for the visitors on the stroke of half time when his shot was deflected in.

Jason Thompson restored the lead for The Wells 2mins into the second half.

The Wells welcome promotion chasing Chatham Town to The Culverden on Saturday.

Jason Thompson opened the scoring for The Wells after 13mins and then added another 4 minutes later after good work from Ola Williams.

Anthony Adesite pulled a goal back for the hosts on 19mins.

The Wells singed off from 2018 with derby delight as they continued their unbeaten run to 8 games.

An even first half saw the two teams separated only by a superb Jason Thompson free kick on the stroke of half time to give The Wells and 1-0 lead into the break.

The Crows replied somewhat against the run of play thanks to Ansu Janneh’s well taken finish on 62mins.

Lordswood 3-4 The Wells

The Wells signed off for Christmas with a 7 goal thriller that extended their unbeaten run to 7 games.

A dominant opening from The Wells was rewarded when Josh Biddlecombe shot went in off the Lords post.

Despite a number of fine saves from Dan Smith in The Lords goal The Wells were unable to capitalise on their opener and conceded on 17mins when Lords skipper Jordan Wells longe range effort skidded past Calum Hampson.

Both teams were reduced to ten men on 17mins after a skirmish which saw Dane Moore and George Blake receive their marching orders.

The Wells travel to Lordswood on Saturday in their last game before Christmas.

The Lords sit 8th after 16 games on 28pts. They have a record of 8 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats.
